So, my boyfriend and I have been dating for almost a month. What do I get him for Valentines Day?
I know what you're thinking....Not one of these again....but wait. It's gets...a little interesting.
My boyfriend, Josh, has self esteem issues. He just doesn't believe that he is just unbelievably sexy and smokin hott! He hates his voice, and thinks that he is too skinny and pale. Whatever, you know? People don't tan in the winter (I am even paler than him) and his voice will probably change in a little time (he is 16 and I am almost 15). I just wanted to know if there is anything I could give him that would really make him feel good. And not sex.
I am baking him a cake already, but I was going to get him something else on the side.

I had a boyfriend who was the same way, pale and not confident. I just always paid him compliments and I found that he liked homemade stuff the best...I mean like a card or put together a collage with pics of him and you, you can make it funny or heartfelt.
I also liked getting him clothes I liked and them telling him he looked hot in them and give him the sexy eye.
Just being with you should help, I mean, a lot of guys don't even have a girlfriend. Remind him of how much you like him!

well... ya'll have only been going out for like a month so what ever you do, don't go too over the top!
i LOVE the cake idea, my boyfriend's birthday was only after a month after we started dating, and I didn't wanna give him something too big, so i made him a cake too! :)
you could get him like a gift card ($30 most) and go shopping with him and make sure to tell him how sizzlin' he looks in whatever he tries on! lol. whatever you do, don't go too over the top, instead go for a thoughtful/creative approach. The issue of his self esteem is something he is going to have to get over himself, however feel free to tell him how hott you think he is!

maybe you could make him a card saying all the reasons why youlike him. i did this for a boyfriend once and it was actually a lot of fun to do. like go to the craft store and pick out cute papers and stuff. then he'll know that you really appreciate him. you can write a poem saying all the reasons if thats you're style, or just write openly about why you like him. sounds like he couldnt hear it enough.

Well maybe you could do something like buy a disposable camera and take pictures of each other, not like porn or naked stuff, but like just kissing and goofing around together and stuff. Maybe do something funny to make him laugh and snap a picture midway into it. Just something where he isn't all nervous or self-conscious so you can just capture each other all relaxed and happy. Might work out not too bad. Good luck.

How about you take a survey of the girls at your school who know him (fit in some girls that are not your friends). Ask them how they would rate him on different attributes...if he is as hot as you say he is, he will get high ratings. That would lift his self-esteem. Of course if he doesn't...fudge the findings!!!
Of course you could always do the tried and true packet full of "Good for 1 Back Rub" and such...they are always fun.

Make him a corny but cool card. Tell him all of the good qualities about him in the card. Make it like really big. Or, ask him to come over and watch a movie (The Notebook is really good) and just enjoy his presence. Tell him how much he means to you, and that you'd never change one thing about him. Bona fortuna.

Don't worry! I'll answer for ya! ^_^ ok! I think you should get him chocolates or invite him over and have a "surprise" party! Just a little something that will get his mind off of things. Maby a movie, or take him to a nice restaurant! GOOD LUCK! ^_^

Well if you want to be traditoinal get him Stufffed animal (with some nice saying) , chocholates, flowers, ext.
but if you want to be extra thoughtful you can take an inside joke or a really special moment and be creative with it!!!

where's the interesting part? you said it gets interesting. anyways your bf is 16 he's still growing and so are you and your teens so ofcourse he's self consious thats just all part of that time. but maybe u can get him something that would make him feel better about himself, its kinda hard with guys they usually arent self consious, but get something HE likes, if he likes any sports or certain hobbies, show him that u were really thinking of him.

Get him a card that plays music or get him his favorite candy. What is his favorite hobby? Maybe get something that deals with his favorite hobby. A baseball cap with his favorite team. A shirt with his favorite sports team on it. Just some ideas.
