i know humas do but my cat? could she be sad or in love or stressed?

Cats sigh for many of the same reasons humans do. Relaxation, letting down their guard, just taking a breath, all kinds of reasons.
I've seen all sorts of animals sigh after working with animals of all kinds for over twenty years (pet store), even birds sigh.
Fish "yawn," hamsters sigh and yawn, you can even see snakes take extra deep breaths on occasion.

Do you know if she might be in pain?? Cats show alot of emotions, she might be trying to make you feel guilty about something, whether it was u not letting her sleep in your room with you one night, or you gave too much attention to another cat.
Cats are very vengeful too lol.
One nite my hubby kicked our cat out of the room because he was playing with a noisy plastic bag. So the next week my cat avoided him, then went back to his normal ways of smothering us. Check his stool make sure he's not constipated that makes my cat sigh if i change his cat food on him when they run out of his kind.

My cat sighs sometimes too. She seems to only do it when she's really comfortable, napping on my lap or getting a belly rub. I think it has something to do with her breathing through her nose more than her mouth, because she also purrs and snores through her nose.

if your cat sees other cats it might be in love or if you dont pay a lot of attention it could be sad or mad because it might want revenge
