I want to go to a different church but I don't wanna betray my church members and I don't want to be a "church hopper" but I just don't grow half as much as I do at the other church. My church is a LITTLE old-fashioned and yeah. What should I do?

You should follow your heart and go where you feel like you're benefitting the most.

I've never heard the term "church hopper" before. Do Christians really despise those people or something? I used to "church hop" (as well as bar hop) until I figured out none of those churches were doing it for me.

What would be the point of staying at a church that doesn't make you feel the way you do at another church? Just go to the new church....people should understand. And if they're going to be upset you left their church, then it's probably even better that you did leave.

I figure that you are ready to grow.

About church hopping:

You do what you want. I think that the names; church hoppers, and church tramps were made up by pastors who wanted to pt pressure on the congregation to stay put. Well, I think that God wouldn't call them church tramps and church hoppers. We are to be led by His Spirit, right? So by calling you those names would they not differentiate someone leaving for His purposes?

So chill, dude. If the story you tell is as simple as that, go anywhere God leads you.

What would it matter? as long as you have the reason of the baptism of a Holy Prophet(the Holy ones) who are ready to baptize you, just like John the Baptists Baptized Christ, the very Son of God. The church matter of Christ is at least one town and a city must have a church, in order that people are crowded and multiplied according to each kind of living thing. you also must find that riligious duties are very occupied with or without any religion at all. it is not a betrayal that you might go church to church. there's a belief to this.

Are you searching for the truth, or personal comfort?
Satan would lead you to personal comfort and the surest road there is to follow him. James said "Faith without works is dead"
Most of the comforting Church's lead you away from God.
Sure you can find a church that will embrace you.
But does it teach what Jesus taught?
Wouldn't it be better if you did things God's way?
He offers eternal life. Check out our website below to get some answers to pressing questions..........

Decide why you want to go to the other church and if they are good enough reasons, go. If you don't want to be a "church-hopper", look at your current church and find ways to make it a place where you want to stay.

I'm in a similar situation. You have to do what is right. I wish I had another place to go, but I don't have any other options at the moment.

Do what's best for your own spirituality. But don't move just because the other church is cooler than your current. Make sure your growth there is real.

Just remember exactly why you're going to church. Fellowship is important and I understand you will probably miss your friends, but going to church is for much more than that. Just pray, and ask God what you should do. Take Care.

Church is first of all Christ centered. Its more important to ask how you can serve and worship God than what you get. Truly a difficult situation and I hope and pray things work out well for you. God has given you a promise. Use it prayerfully.

Pray about it and fast for a day and ask God to lead you to a good church that teaches and preaches the Word of God.

follow your heart. its not betrayal to change churches. if you're worried about fellow members, don't be. good people won't think badly of you. you need to go where you are comfortable and as you say, where you can grow. and church hopping is okay if you're looking for the right one. good luck
