Doesnt that make Americans look bad? To make dehydrated kids run for water like that? To their eyes dont WE look like terrorists? First we bomb than we tease them while they're dehydrated???

What you allege does not happen. You are lying to try to cause trouble. I noticed this asker does not allow emails. He's afraid to read what we think about him. without being able to punish us by reporting us for calling him what he is.

Ok I saw the video you're talking about and I think too big a deal is being made of it. First of all you don't just stop the vehicles whenever you feel like it...even if there are kids running after it. Second what did you want them to do...hurl the bottled water at the kid's head? Then you'd be crying because the kid got hurt. Third you can't judge a whole group of people on a video like that. I know that the guys from my husband's unit asked us wives to send things to the kids and they handed them out. I have some very touching photos of these kids getting girl scout cookies, toys, school supplies etc and I think that's more the norm than kids being teased with a water bottle.

You need to realize that not everybody's perfect and not everybody is going to act the way that they "should" in every circumstance.

Example: The Bill Clinton/Monica Lewinsky scandal...

Yes, the scandal made him look bad, but it didn't have an effect on his ability to run the country as President.

These soldiers, while yes, may be acting a little immature, are just messing around, joking, relieving stress. The kids don't have to chase the vehicle and the soldiers do eventually let the water go.

It doesn't affect their ability to do their job though.

I watched the video several times and I can see nothing that proves it's Americans, I see what appears to be a nondescript armored vehicle and someone in an American style helmet, no identifying patches, markings, or even the race of the soldier. It may be American, it may be Iraqi, I cant tell,

It's sad that you 'see' just the kid running after water, and not the hazzards involved in HAVEING it.... it's pathetic that you are presented with a vedio that ensites you to a 'conviction' of your first impression, too. I wish you were more experianced, and less impressionable. Wars are not 'life' as YOU know it to be...nor are WARS inducive to life as YOU see life... if YOU want to voice an accusitive opinion of some one who is IN a war..FIGHTING a war..INLIST..!!! you dim wit.
I am no pro war inthewseast, nor am i convinced this one is justifiable..but i do know this , what i see in videos from news reals and news broadcasts is so twisted and tweeked and manipulated by politics, polititions, and burocracys that truth is no longer even relivent to the broadcast ...much less to us who see and listen to the lyeing bstrds.
Hopefully, someday, a politically moral individual will find a way to open the general public's miopic 'party' alegance to political horse sht, and will get elected...and we can all find our national consensus again,... unfortunately, there are aparently a surplus of bigots, mental-sheep, political retards, propaganda-addicts, badmouther's, garbage-diggers, muck-rakers, affiliation-affectors, pretense-prostituts, pessimistic prehensiles, women hateing, war loveing, voteing non vetran smoozers, with ideas much like yours....so, who knows if it will happen in my life time now or not.

Before you critisize the USA ARM FORCES...spend more time to read and watch the dailly news that covers all side. Do you know that dailly an average of 150 Iraqis- ( this number includes- women and children) ...get killed by other IRAQIs whom they have no consideration about human life...they Just kill for the fun of it...and just to do the JOB of the ARM FORCES of the the free Nations including USA more Difficult. I do n't see you complain aboput that!!!! If I was the President of USA ...I will pull all the USA & Free Nations Arm Forces out of IRAQ, and then Nuke IRAQ ...this way the IRAQI problem finally will be solved., and in few hours will be over.

******* could of ran quicker : ) edit: After watching the video(skimming via it), dehydrated young infants can run? close up. They in all probability merely needed it as a badge of honor or something. And in the event that they actually did merely choose t o make the infants run for it, information flash, there are undesirable apples in each and every militia in each and every conflict there ever replaced into.

Where in the good god or allah world did you get this information from?
U.S. soldiers have in all conflicts have been very caring and giving to the civilian poulation especially the children.
In some cases they have given up their life to protect these children from hostile fire usually from their own people.

it may make Americans look bad, but what are you going to do about it? are you going to turn anti-American? for people like you, maybe the goddamn media should stop showing videos where soldiers look bad and start showing videos that raise morale in the US. stupid people cant understand what soldiers are doing for us. they risk their lives every day, and they dont recieve any credit for it. it may seem cruel, but i dont think we should have to offer them anything. these kids are raised to hate the "west" and grow up learning how to shoot ak-47's. our troops deserve better than this kind of dishonor.

That video was all of five minutes long. There's no way that that child ran for "miles." At most, it was A mile.
Yes, it does make Americans look bad. It's fortunate, then, that I have other sources which DON'T make Americans look bad.
