Actually the fault lies with the stylist who did your hair..it sounds like the colour was left on too long and the chemicals have burnt your hair...go back and complain, and get refund...why pay for them to damage your hair??
Maybe a deep conditioning will help a little though it doesnt look promising...sorry to hear it went wrong for you!!

You didn't dye you hair blonde. (to dye means to darken) You high lift tinted it or bleached it. Both of which are harsh chemicals. Then you went over all this with a dye...(more chemicals). Now you have had highlights put in (more chemicals) over all the other chemicals of the past. Did you do all this yourself? Did you tell the salon all that has been done to your hair previously? Is your hair long? All these things have contributed to the stressed condition your hair is in now.
Hair is keratonized protein and will only take being blasted with chemicals for so long then it breaks down. When hair reaches this point there really is not much that can be done for it. Intensive protein conditioners will sooth it somewhat but the best thing to do is have the worst of the mushy parts trimmed off. In the meantime shampoo lightly, condition, comb with large tooth comb as little as possible, air dry, and use NO hot tools on it.
I know this was not what you wanted to hear. I'm sorry, I wish the very best of luck to you.

I have my hair bleached with a very high peroxide and I suffer with breakage too. However, if you use a good shampoo and conditioner specific for weakened/coloured hair combined with a leave-in intensive treatment once a week you will find your hair will improve considerably. Ok, you will still have broken bits which'll have to grow but this will prevent further breakage and keep your hair in top condition. I highly recommend bain de force shampoo and conditoner by Kerastase. It comes in a green bottle and is very good. The also do leave-in conditioning masks in packs of five which are brilliant. Good luck!

Ensure that you eat nutritious food, with plenty of leafy vegetables. Have a soya milk drink and multivitamin tablets if you do not have time to have a healthy breakfast.Apply the white of a raw egg on the hair for 30 minutes, and then wash it off with a shampoo. A mixture of lemon juice and egg white and oil massage could also be used to strengthen the roots of hair. More remedies at http://hairthinning.org/ will prevent further problems.

if i were you i would go back to the stylist and show them.

realistically, to make hair healthier then you need to put stuff back in.

by using good quality conditioning colours you can dye the highlights dark again and they should be healthier.

i am currently in the same situation. ive been clinging on to a blonde flash in my own dark hair but it looks so fluffy and it snaps all the time so im going to colour it dark too.

i also recommend using leave in conditioner.

if your from the uk, boots do a spray in coconut conditoner you leave in which is dirt cheap and the best ive found.

hope you sort it soon!

there are plenty ways to help...
-hot oil treatments by Treseme!
-3 minute miracle by Ausseie!
-Garnier Fuctis has a really good long and strong line!
-Hair Facial
-- i suggest going to Walmart and looking down the hair isle. there are plenty of deep conditioners. don't freak out!
- also try covering ur hair in conditioner before you shower, then washing it out.

When using products like this on your hair you need to use lots of conditioner.I spend more money on conditioners than dyes.A good one is Henna Wax which you have to use with a hot towel as well as spray on conditioners.

if you go to your hairdressers they can do hot oil treatments and help make your hair more alive. my friend got it done a couple months ago. it was a tad pricey, but it did wonders to her hair. also, stick to getting your hair dyed professionally. it stays in longer and is much better for your scalp.
