Was it for more or less than what was expected? Did you use a paid preparer that took the fees out of your refund to pay for the service of filing your taxes for you. If you used a preparer then ask them what they charged you. Look on your copy of your return what was shown for a refund.
If you didn't use a preparer call the IRS to find out why there is a difference.
Did you get your state check and not your federal check?

You may have made a mather error on your return. The IRS will correct those automatically.

It's also possible that part of your refund was captured for an old tax debt or unpaid student loan, etc.

if you got more back than from what you got on your return then you maybe did a mistake in your favor . usually they get checked at the IRS as soon the come in .
