2. Is Adobe Photoshop CS an expansion to photoshop?
3. Is photoshop 7 an expansion of photoshop or is it a photoshop?

Thank you for the elements idea but I am using photoshop for my art work and I am not sure that is exactly what I need also my friend is going to show me how to work it so I don't have to teach myself and I'm a pretty fast learner when it comes to computer softwares

CS and 7 are versions of Photoshop. CS3 being the latest.

Photoshop CS2 is the newest version of Photoshop and is rather expensive (around $ 500) and not easy to learn. If you are new to Photoshop I would suggest to start with Photoshop Elements that is a very good program and combines most of the features of Photoshop with an easier use.
