Once I get off it, will I go back to being depressed or will I be normal? Please help me. Please share if there are any success stories with wellbutrin. I'm so sick and tired of being depressed all the time. I'm ready to fight this thing. I just need some words of encouragement.

Wellbutrin may help you with your depression. Some people find that they have to change medications once or twice before they find the right one. Anti-depressants usually take between 2 - 4 weeks to take affect. In the meantime, there are some small things that you can do to make yourself feel better. Going outside for walks and getting sunshine, eating properly, etc. I know it sounds like a lot, but it isn't. Take things very slowly, and set small goals for yourself. Setting small, attainable goals will help find your self-confidence again. Talking to a professional will also help. Some days you may have to make yourself do these things, so make sure you follow through with them. Exercise is the biggest thing. I also suffer from depression and have for years, but once I started going out for small walks every day, I feel better. Something as small as a walk around the block can make a sad person feel better. Instantly. Reason for that is that exercise releases hormones that are called "endorphins" which are better known as the "feel good hormones". These are the same hormones that are released during sex!
So, the more you exercise, the better you feel. This is why people get addicted to working out or exercising. Certainly not the worst addiction in the world!
I hope this help you. Good luck.

Wellbutrin should begin to work in a couple of weeks although you wont have FULL benefit for 6-8 weeks after starting it so try to be patient with it it is a very good anti depressant and if you are a smoker trying to quit it helps with the cravings

Wellbutrin saved me life. Im on it combined with zoloft and i feel tons beeter than i did. aunestly i am so glad that i descided to get help. at first is is scary and awkward and you feel dejected when it doesnt help right away.....but give it time. it worked wonders for me and if it doesnt for you try soemthing else! dont gove up hope! youll figure this out. im sorry your going throught his tough time. healing will be work, but you have to do it to get on with your life. you have to fall apart to be put back together. if your not broken how can someone fix you? liek glass...when it is "hurt" it is still together but you can see all the little cracks....but to put it back together you have to break it even more. thats how this was for me. i had to break and in doing so i healed! good luck babe. keep on keeping on. when all else fails just focus on breathing...when doing so you accept life, you say yes to god...and when it hurts and you cant take another breathe...find someone who will hold your hand. i hope this med works for you!

i am not off it yet but i think the end result is different for different people. really bad cases need to stay on meds the rest of thier lives[on low doeses] but others do well when they go off it after a year or two. its different for everyone else. feel better, muah!

Yes it's a helpful medicine, I took it for a while.... but withdrawal is a problem, and you need to research this carefully before making your decision. Alternatives require discipline.
