Blessed are the peacemakers.
Not the offenders or the would be victims.

Dont be easily offended. Listen to the insult or perhaps it is just an improper way to state a differing opinion, look at the reason behind it. Honest belief, or just venting. Excuse the ventor, you can learn from opposing points of view.

Hmm..one could say that the mocker stands on a stool made of their own hubris, while the one who gets offended falls off theirs. Each looks as foolish as the other to the truly humble.

This is a trick question...both are based on a distortion of true pride. True pride recognizes ones worth and integrity, true humility recognizes that all beings possess this...
