My hubby gets headaches very very easily, and he was in a class yestureday, and he was staining some wood. Four hours of it, and he was dizzy afterward and had a headache. He still has the headache today, and i'm wondering how i could possibly help? He's already taken ibuprophin...

i think your husband may have high blood pressure he needs to see a doctor and until then cut down his salt intake

It could be that he has a migraine as a reaction to the stain. He should make sure he wears a mask from now on. This might help to prevent it in the future. As fara as right now, he could try going to bed with a cool cloth on his head. You could even take him to the hospital. If it is a migraine, they will give him migraine medication that could help get rid of it. As far as over the counter pills, Excedrin seems to work the best. I hope this helps a bit and that he gets better.

he is probably getting headaches from the stain and if he is around paints alot that also could be the cause he should go to the DR and have a cat scan done to see if there is something that he doesn't know about..Headaches are cause by stress also..

If this is a recurring thing, he should go to the doctor to rule out a bigger problem. I would especially be concerned if his vision gets blurry during the headaches.

Let me guess...the stain was oil or lacquer based right? He should have been wearing a respirator. He's lucky he didn't pass out. Now to answerer you question, Ibuprofen will help. and tell him not to do that again.

have him go to a doctor and see if the doctor can provide him some medication to help him get read of his headache

Stains can contain neurotoxins they should only be used with adequate ventilation. If his symptoms don't go away soon he should go to the doctor

4 hours of sniffing wood stain will do that to you.
