Keep them very clean and dry. Do not touch them throughout the day with your hands/fingers. Clean gently but thouroughly 1-2 times daily wit rubbing alchohol. Also, don't wear your 'starter studs' too tight. If they are squeezing too tightly on your newly pierced ears, your ears will become red and irritated and prone to infection.

Keep them clean...aloe vera cream(not gel...it gums up) works great to speed healing, don't forget to turn them, and make sure you leave them in as long as you were told too. Do NOT use peroxide on them...it kills cells and makes healing take longer. Be careful with alcohol too, it will dry your skin if used too much...but I used it just to keep the area somewhat sterile. Be on the lookout for infection as if this is your first time peircing, there a chance you may be allergic to the metal(this happened to me).

just clean your ears several times a day with antiseptic. after a little while you probably only need to clean them once a day. that's all i did, and my piercings are fine.
