I had thick African-American haired that I permed and then colored and now its breaking off but I look at it and its not split at all. I know I'll probably need to get a trim bt is there anything I could do to make it grow faster and stop breaking off?

Is it breaking off because it is really weak or because it is too dry? If it is weak (like it stretches while its wet) try Aphogee treatment for dry damaged hair or Lamaur's Bone Marrow Treatment. If it is too dry make sure you moisturize. Do deep condition treatments or hot oil treatments. Neutrogena Silk Touch is a really good daily moisturizer.Check this site out too...

You know that your hair is breaking off because of you getting your hair permed and then coloring it right? If you moisturize your hair a lot, it will help to keep it from breaking off. Make sure you tie down your hair down at night, wear a scarf, and put moisturizer on your hair before you tie it down. Wear your hair down so that you won't put rubber bands or scrungies cause that makes it break off too. And trimming your hair helps it grow faster. I had the same problem

Okay, one DON"T go in a swimming pool it makes it worse. Motstrize your hair with Joico K-Pak reconstruct. This stuff works. I was going to get my hair permed cause mine is in FRIZZ CITY. But i had to use this treament before I got a perm. Keep this in for 1hr.

nothing makes your hair grow faster. also, dont put ANY types of chemicals in your hair for about six months to a full year. cut the dead ends off and thats about all you can do but it'll work

you have to wait at least 2 weeks after a perm to colour your hair other wise it will cause a chemical reaction that will lead to hair breakage...leave in coditioner in my opinion is the best quick fix for dry, breaking hair
