iam making a cheesecake and dont know whether to bake the crust by itself first or just to add the filling and let the crust and filling cook at same time

You can do it either way. I prefer them baked at the same time. Prebaking tends to give it an overdone taste at times.

No need to prebake the crust. The crust will bake just fine with the rest of the cheesecake

The crust should be pre-baked at 350 for about 15 minutes, this will keep the crust from crumbling when the cheese cake is sliced.

You should pre-bake the crust @ 350 degrees F for about 10-15 minutes and allow it to cool before pouring in the filling.

Use pie weights or dried beans on a layer of parchment paper or foil sprayed with Pam to prevent the crust from shrinking. (If you use dried beans - keep them for re-use as pie weights - DO NOT try to cook them for another dish.)

This will help ensure a crisp crust that holds together.

Add little butter to the graham cracker first then mold in pie pan then bake after baking let cool then add filling and refrigerate...
