SHIH TZU!!!

The Shih Tzu is a sturdy, lively, alert toy dog with long flowing double coat. Befitting his noble Chinese ancestry as a highly valued, prized companion and palace pet, the Shih Tzu is proud of bearing, has a distinctively arrogant carriage with head well up and tail curved over the back. Although there has always been considerable size variation, the Shih Tzu must be compact, solid, carrying good weight and substance.

Size - Ideally, height at withers is 9 to 10½ inches; but, not less than 8 inches nor more than 11 inches. Ideally, weight of mature dogs, 9 to 16 pounds.

Temperament
As the sole purpose of the Shih Tzu is that of a companion and house pet, it is essential that its temperament be outgoing, happy, affectionate, friendly and trusting towards all.

I LOVE DOBIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

I dont have one... YET! I dont have the space or the money for one, but as soon as I do Im gonna get a male.

I love them because they are soooooooooooo affectionate!!!! The term "velcro dog" really fits them. I think it sad they have such a bad rap, Because I have NEVER seen a more LOYAL breed in my entire life!

I love the Protective instinct. It seems to be perfectly balanced. You can trust them with your kid, friends, family, even those you just met and they will be fine, but if they ever even TRY to hurt you, BAM, your dobie is on it! And they can be QUITE convincing!!! After all, they are the ONLY breed specificly bred for personal protection.

They are also very very intelligent. They can be trained to do ANYTHING. I even know a guy, that attended hunting field trials with his 2 dobermans, AND placed toward the top often. They are great Therapy Dogs, Schutzhund, hearding (believe it or not), Search and rescue and more! They are also the BEST at companionship. (But they need a job to do or they can get bored or aggressive)

I also love thier attitude. This is where the OWNER usually gets in trouble. Alot of people dont realize that if you dont take ABSOLUTE control over your dobe, then your dobe will control you. They have to know that YOU are in charge, period. I love that strong personality. BUT, I can handle it also. Every dog I have ever had KNEW I was in charge.

My favorite breed of dog is the Cocker Spaniel. They have the saddest eyes, longing to be loved and cared for, just like most humans. I had a pure breed once that was lost and I took him in. He was pleasant and loved to be loved. Sit on my lap, and everyday the alarm went off for me to go to work, he would climb up on the bed and try to keep me home. He hated to get his feet wet. Would lift them up high and look at it every time he took a step if outside when wet. But he loved to open presents, especially Xmas presents. One of the down features are there ears....they get infected often because they are so long and fluffy air can't get into them. My Vet actually told me once to clip them back but I couldn't do that. Very nice dog to own and to have.

I am in love with American Pit Bull Terriers. But a few of my other favorites are American Bulldogs, Boxers, English bulldogs, Rottweilers, Staffordshire Terriers, and Bull Terriers. Most of these dogs are misunderstood. But when raised in the right environment they make Wonderful pets!

I have two favorites. I always loved huskies and have had two my whole life and they are just amazing loving dogs who don't really don't require alot of attention, but sure appreciate what they get. But I recently got a Shiba inu who i love to death and I think i'm gonna get another one. He's the perfect size, super smart, and very loyal.

It relies upon on what your human being tastes are and what form of events you and your canines savour, and how a lot area, time and potential you've. i for my area love Chihuahuas. I also like many of the Nordic breeds like Chows, Poms, Eskies, Norwegian elkhounds, etc., regardless of the indisputable fact that they look slightly difficult-headed and decide to be brushed many times (they shed like loopy).
