OK, I have almost exactly the same thing. Mine started off on Sunday 3rd Feb as a fever. I had temps of up to 40c for three days and then got a nagging cough that is almost the same as what you described. I can't lay down as I wake up in five minutes chocking so I have a mountain of pillows to prop me up. Inhaling steam really seems to help even if I am having a coughing fit. Steam moistens your lungs and lubricated the Phlegm so it will move easier. I do that then lye down on my front and cough deeply (or get someone to percussive slap( make your hand into a bowl) and hit the back). It should go after a few days but while its here it sucks!

How old are you, first of all? That doesn't make a BIG difference, but just wondering.....
There IS such a thing as Chronic Cough. And it is simply a cough that lasts longer than 3 weeks. Period. No other symptoms required. So give it another week, I guess, and then talk seriously with your doctor about this. You say no other symptoms are present? Chest pain, tightness, shortness of breath, etc.? If not, I would keep bugging your doctor until he/she tends to this.

okay i wont. i am a nurse what kind of dilly dally nurse did you see??? maybe at that time your lungs did sound clear. ARE YOU RUNNING A TEMP? maybe? you need antibiotics and cough syrup. maybe? you have a blood clot in the lung? maybe you have mono? maybe? on and on and on. it does not matter if you smoke or not you can still get bronchitis as well. i cant honestly give you a cure. however, i would order blood work, throat culture, and re-listen to those lungs if i was the doctor you don't want to hear about. after you said you tried everything it is time for the medical people. DO NT WAIT TO LONG!!!!!!!!!!!! Kat

The symptoms of bronchitis really are a tell tale sign of having the condition. If you have any of these symptoms, you should seek the help of your family doctor as soon as possible.

The main sign of this condition is that of a yellow/gray or even green colored mucus that comes up when you are coughing. This mucus is called sputum. The mucus should be a sign to you that something is wrong, especially with this type of coloring.

Your body produces and needs mucus because it helps to keep your body hydrated. But, when you notice it, then there is a problem.

That’s because the mucus has built up which is a sign of an infection. Normally, this mucus just slides down your throat when you swallow your saliva. When there is too much of it, though, it becomes necessary for your body to remove it in another way, in this case, coughing it up.

With bronchitis, your airways have become inflamed and when that happens they produce a large amount of discolored mucus. The coloring of the mucus should signal to you that you have an infection someplace in your air passage ways.

Although this mucus is a sign that you are suffering from bronchitis it doesn’t always have to be there. Sometimes it is swallowed (especially by children who are suffering from bronchitis) and therefore it is not noticed as often.

In addition, some people don’t have a large accumulation of the product in their throats and therefore do not cough it up. For this reason, you should realize that you can have bronchitis without having any mucus.

There are additional signs that you should pay attention to in order to tell if you have bronchitis. Remember, if you suffer from them contact your doctor to talk to him about your condition as soon as possible.

Additional symptoms of bronchitis can include any or all of these symptoms and signs as well:

•A pain in your chest that makes you feel constricted
•A burning sensation in your chest, soreness there
•Congestion
•A sore throat
•The feeling of not being able to catch your breath
•Wheezing, coughing
•Fever, which should not be too elevated. If so, contact your doctor as soon as possible.
•Chills

When you experience any of these, especially a combination of them with mucus, you could be suffering from a bronchitis infection.

Sounds like the cold I had over the holidays that lasted three weeks. Aside from the sore throat and cough, I also had a stuffy head and blew my nos elike crazy. Never felt nauseated though, but that could be just a gag reflex from all that coughing.

It sounds to me like your sinuses and this may be why you cough worse when you lie down. If your sinuses are draining at night when you lie down, you would cough more. I had whooping cough and they diagnose this by swabbing way up your nose. I always thought you had to have severe pain with a sinus infection and then my sister found out from a CAT scan that she had one with no symptoms. Try a sinus medication. Good luck feeling better.

the biggest argument for me is that Evolution is a concept. in certainty the scientific call for the learn of evolution is 'the concept of Evolution'. Now many states prepare evolution as a certainty. so as that they are coaching a concept this is unproven, and calling it a technology, whilst in certainty scientists have not shown this concept. Now if evolution is a concept, and introduction is a concept, why could one be familiar in colleges, and the different be rejected, merely because of the fact one concept could have non secular implications. the school has an obligation to coach infants each and all the info relating to the origins of life, although via purely coaching one unproved concept and discounting different theories, they do no longer seem to be assembly this customary. i might follow those arguments as a start up. i might tie interior the element approximately taking time removed from different subjects, this is an ok arguments.

As a nurse, I would have to say go see a dr. He can give you some of the good cough medicine with narcotic in it. Great stuff. You're wasting your time on here. No one here can tell you what you have.

Sounds like the whoop cough to me also. Use to be steam and that mentholatum stuff would help it.If your throwing up, remember to rinse mouth and brush teeth alot. Then get back to the steam and work that out of your system. The steam will also help moisten your throat and give you some comfort.

whiskey and honey, about a shot of whiskey mixed with 1/2 cup honey makes a wonderful cough syrup, do this and it will help you out; sounds like you got this flu or whatever it is that's going around or bronchitis, could be pluerisy if your chest hurts, perhaps pneumonia because it does this same thing
