I was a single mother of two young children. I was working two jobs...living in a one bedroom apt., my B/F and I were using condoms and one slipped off....we realized this, replaced it....(we got a new condom out and put that on...) I was 35 yrs. old, i still got pregnant. at that point i was well aware of what hard work it was to raise a child and how money makes a huge difference. And I decided I could not be pregnant at that time. I loved my B/F...we are married now...and to carry a child and put it up for adoption was WAY beyond me...i would not have been able to do that...i know that. I had a 'medical' or 'chemical' abortion at 5 weeks. It was just a few pills and a night of rest and NO I DO NOT REGRET IT AT ALL! I dont think about the baby i 'could have had' i dont dwell on it at all...I know that when I am ready for another baby (if that day should ever come) I will get pregnant and have the child when I am READY for it! Good Luck to you.

I've never had a abortion but had a d & c due to a misscarriage, I still think about the one I lost every once in a while, but I still remember that I was pretty down in the dumps for a month or 2 afterwards.

I never had one, and I never wish to, but if put in the position, I sure am glad the choice is there. I think it is a very personal choice that is made between the two people involved. And I would hope that if the choice is made, and it is carried out, that it would not be regretted.
