Try asking her before you spit out some cheesy line. There is nothing wrong with asking someone of they have a BF or GF before you start hitting on them! It may save both of you from an uncomfortable situation!

Be a good gentleman & frankly tell the girl that you like & love her
from the depth of your heart & if she accept only then take a forward step. Don't try to hit her it is wrong.
