Any practical suggestions please so that waking up in the morning is a pleasure rather than a pain.

usually i make myself stay up the entire day, keeping busy, then go to bed early, with sufficient sleep your body will wake itself up. continue this and eventually it will all be routine. if you stay up late one night, wake yourself up with an alarm clock and stay awake the entire day until your 'routine' bed time. good luck!

Go 8 hours before you want to wake up to bed.
Then normally you are awake at the right time.

Get an alarm clock that lets you set the alarm to whatever song you like, then set it to your favorite song, preferably something to help you wake up.

dude -perhaps you should investigate the joys of an alarm clock.If you want pleasure when you wake up-try bringing home a FOX for that wake up when the alarm goes off.It's all up to you!

try going to bed earlier it will become a routine it takes a little time though it wont happen over night.
