why are men so insecure, if you know you like a girl why dont you go up to her and ask her out.. or case scenario You like a woman and she notices but she pays you little attention because shes not sure how u feel.. she calls you up and tries too get to know u but u freak out and say alot of hurtful things you really dont mean and end up pushing her away.....WHY?

i am reserved and do not approach ladies in real life yet i would NEVER be rude if a lady rang me up and wanted to get to know me i would get to know her -- being rude is just so stupid

Easy. It's too much for us men to handle. We can only take a little bit at a time. It's like eating, you take too big of a bite and smallow, you'll choke and vomit!
or in a more serious manner you should talk to him in person and ask him why he said those mean things to you. If he continues to say them to you then ask someone else out and maybe you were wrong about him liking you.
