Train them not to!
When they start in, take control and tell them NO and QUIET. Continue until they listen to you.

I've had rescue's do this when they first come to me. When the dog starts barking just say firmly and loudly 'QUIET'. If you take him out in the car then try and cover the windows so that he can't see out. Uncover them one at a time but if he barks cover them back up again - obviously you can't cover the windscreen!!!! You do have to be persistent but this method had never failed with me. In fact, the rescue dog that I kept has now got to the stage that if he starts barking I only have to look at him and he is quiet LOL I have never used force or violence on my dogs I don't believe in it. Just firmness and persistence - a lot of it!!!!

go to a pet store like petsmart or petco and get a speical collar. There are three kinds, shock, sound, and scent. I'd go with the sound collar, the shock ones are mean, and the scent ones really stink even for people! Everytime your dog barks push the button that comes with the collar and it will give off a sound like a dog whistle. It will break the habbit very fast in the most humane way possible.

in many pet stores, they sell collars that squirts a citrus cent in the air and makes them freak out. After a few times, they associate barking with that smell, and they dont do it anymore. Hope it helps!

spray them with a water bottle or gently tap their nose as a "no"
take a lesson from pavlov. right now they associate doorbell with new people and excitement. you need to associate doorbell with getting smacked in the nose or getting sent in the backyard to be quiet. they are animals and you can't just tell them, so you need to teach them with what they understand. give them treats if they are good, and punish them if they are bad. simple reinforcement.
