I live in California and hate going to the mall. The younger generation here is becoming soooo rude. A group of them will be walking towards you and basically shove the other people out of the way. I visited South Carolina and a group of young people were walking towards us in the mall, stepped aside and said excuse us. So where do you think the rudest people, and the most considerate people live?

I live in CA as well and know what you are talking about. Has to do with the parents allowing their children to do as they please and do not discipline them. So they walk around thinking that their sh** don't stink, and they do not care about anyone but themselves

It's not necessarily fair to single out young people. Bad manners are everywhere and happen to everyone. I was walking out of a store in the mall and didn't see someone walking towards my direction and we almost collided. This older gentleman (possibly 40+) yelled and I mean yelled at the top of his lungs at me for not watching where I was going. I can go on, but I'm sure you get the point. The only way to find peace with all of this, is how we react and how we treat others. We certainly don't want to become the people we find inconsiderate and rude.

I think it's all over the country. Parents just don't teach their children manners any more Seems like they think that being polite is a sign of weakness. I would say California , Louisianna, Mississippi,would be at the top of the list. Texas, The Carolinas, Florida, the children seem to have some manners.

I think it's a matter of how big and crowded the mall is rather than locale. California has a lot more people than SC. Where I live in Calif. there is a very upscale mall and the kids there are polite.

idk about considerate but ppl in russia are pretty rude for sure
trust me, i know, i've lived there for more than 12 years..
