Golly, this will be difficult. There are so many I would recommend.
Ah, well, I’ll limit myself.
* Sourcebook of the World’s Religions
* How to be a Perfect Stranger
(A guide to etiquette in other people’s religious ceremonies)
* Everything by Joeseph Campbell
* The Perfection of Wisdom (Buddhism)
* Every Eye Beholds You (A World Treasury of Prayer)
* God against the Gods
* The Battle for God
* The Book (On the Taboo against knowing who you really are)
* Anything by the Dalai Lama
* The Path of the Masters
* The Creators (the first couple of chapters)
* Alone of All Her Sex (Mary)
* Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance
* Everything I needed to know about life I learned in Kindergarten
* The Alphabet Versus the Goddess
* When God was a Woman
* The Chalice and the Blade
And, VERY GOOD books for kids of all ages: In God’s Name (Sandy Sasso) and God’s Paintbrush by the same author.
I'll probably think of other "must reads" later and want to smack my forehead.

Anything by Joseph Campbell. (spirituality through mythology)
Anything by Nhat Hahn (Buddhism)
Anthing by John & Caitlin Matthews (shamanism)
A book called "Anam Cara" by John O'Donohue. The title means "soul friend" in Gaelic
Anything by Robert Thurman (scholar and Buddhist monk, also happens to be Uma Thurman's dad)
Also a fun read are the "Tao of Pooh" series-I liked Piglet best
A book called "Loving What Is" by Byron Katie-I've read way too many self help books and this is the only one that actually made a permanent difference in the way I approach life.
Hope this helped!
I forgot!!!! "The Alphabet Versus the Goddess" by Leonard Schlain-Really good book!

Id recommend the Quran since it deal with science a bit. Id say some Hindu scripture would be good since it deals with philosophy. The Bible is FAR too long and doesnt deal with any of these that much. Its more about stories.

Nothing by people like Joel Osteen or any of the TBN / 700 club crowd or any of those goofy feel good preachers. The Bible is great of course, "The Forbidden Book" by Dr. Craig Lampe. "Dantes Divine Comedy". "God against the Gods" by Jonathan Kirsch for the history of the Roman empire and polytheism vs. monotheism. Foxes book of Martyrs.
