Neither one...it is more a thing of the squeaky wheel always getting the grease. Those who shout loudest usually are the most fake while those who are sincere know that sometimes silence is a better indicator of intelligence and purpose.

It's not just you. The minute a person tells me they are righteous, honest, religious, or in any other way good people....I reach back to protect my wallet.
There is nothing I enjoy more then watching a hypocrite go down. Strom Thurmnond having a black child...and Newt Gingrich getting caught with his secretary during Clinton impeachment proceedings were things that made life worth living.
I'd love to get a look at Pat Robertson's taxes.

Based on your avatar picture shouldn't you be at a football game somewhere holding a sign reading John 3:16 ?

Yes, many of them are, largely because their "piousness" allows them to seduce and manipulate people.
Of course, many of the most crooked I know are not religious at all . . . somehow I doubt whether one's degree of religiousity has any practical bearing on whether they are crooks or not.

yes! the worst examples of any religion are for some reason the loudest and for that reason people often form the misconception that they represent that religion. its funny that they are called "fundamentalists" when they do not even get the fundamentals of the religion.
