I get this really bad pain in the epigastric area of my stomach, like somebody punched it really hard. Every time I touch the area it is very tender/sore. The pain increases if I eat too much. The pain will also radiate to the middle of my back, or between my shoulder blades. I also have been having rapid pulse/heartbeat.

I'm underweight, if that matters. I typically do not eat fatty foods. I had a bad flu virus three months ago and my stomach has never seemed to have recovered.

This could be a gall bladder problem (as in gall stones) - this effects a lot of overweight people - particularly if you eat Fatty foods (This makes the attack much worse) fatty as in cheese (particulaly melted chesse on say burgers) - pizzas / chinese etc - if you want to avoid it change your diet if you want to get rid of it - see your Doctor & GET REFERRED TO HAVE YOUR GALL BLADDDER REMOVED (IF IT IS THAT ! ) but you must go to see your doc at the earliest possible time ( Dont worry about going to your doctors - they only advise you as to the best course of action) - it's up you to take there advice

You need to see your MD to sort this out.The radiating stomach pain into the shoulders area could mean a gall bladder attack especially after eating is troublesome. Take care. SW RNP
