I see online that there are various companies that will meet you at the airport and provide a lei greeting. Any recommendations of a good quality company to hire? Also, someone told my husband that everyone who flies into Hawaii gets a lei greeting---I don't believe this to be true since there are so many companies you have to pay for the greeting. If you can confirm that this is not true or is true, that would be helpful. Any other suggestions regarding this that I have not asked would be helpful. Thank you!

Leis are no longer given to everyone who disembarks in Hawaii. If you booked through a travel agent, they can arrange for the lei greeting. However, I would not get the leis at the airport - you will be getting your luggage, etc. Your travel agent will have the details on how to get a lei greeting at the hotel as well. If you would rather not spend that kind of money - it's pricey - lots of vendors all over the place have leis from $6 on up.

No, everyone does not always get a lei. Sometimes a travel agent makes the arrangements for you and it's include in your trip package. The only free lei we have ever received was upon arrival at the Westin Maui hotel.

If you are flying a charter on something like Pleasant Hawaiian Holidays, then everyone gets a greeting. If you are flying a commercial flight like Northwest, Continental or United, then simply landing at the Honolulu Airport does not get your family a lei greeting.

Hope that helps

It used to be that flying into kona you would get a lei every time you got off the plane, but that changed about 5 years ago.

You can arrange for your own lei greeting. Go to this link and you will see the costs.
