the only things that matter to me are seeing the bride in her dress, eating some delicious food, and dancing to a good dj.

the things that matter least are favors, place cards, table cloths and seat covers.

At my wedding we had a central place where each family could go and take there picture. Everyone really liked getting a good picture of their family. It really is the only time we get to see some family and friends. Personally my favorite part as a guest is the good food and seeing all the kids having a good time. Even though my marraige didn't work out, everyone still remembers my great reception.Good Luck.

The best part of a wedding is NOT having to wait around for 2-3 hours in between the ceremony and the reception. It's a long day for us guests to begin with - don't make it worse!

i recently got married and planned everything with meticulous detail...but u know what....it meant everything to me and my hubby....the guests however talk about the following:

1) how good the food was
2)the brides dress
3)how good the music was
4)the theme of the wedding
5) the girls mention how wonderful the table centres were
6)the wedding cake

focus on the above and you cant go wrong...i only did all that planning and detail cos im a perfectionist....but if you're worried about pleasing guests keep the above 6 points in mind and you cant go wrong!

good luck

I like clinking on the glasses and making the bride and groom kiss a lot.

I also like when the bride and groom write letters to each other prior to the wedding - and the officiator shares bits and pieces of them in the service.

AND - I like getting to know their families. I've been to some where people didn't mix much - and that wasn't much fun.

I have been both bride and guest and it seems people comment on the alcohol and food.

the last wedding i went to i will remember because they thought of everything, right down to deoderants and little toiletry things in the bathrooms.
the food is usually talked about since they are all having a meal usually, and i think its better for the meal not to be too fancy and expensive because it is often the simple, filling things that people prefer, and if theres fussy people theyre usually happier with that.

How beautiful the dress is, what color they picked, activities held(at the reception). I went to a wedding once and every table had a camera on it. After the wedding and honeymoon they developed all the pictures, they were funny! Its very memorable!

Seeing the bride in her dress, the decorations and the ending. I hate everything in between.
