If you read it, He never refers to it as a parable. Everywhere else He starts by saying it is a parable. That would mean it is not a parable but a true story.

You are referring to Luke 16. Jesus had stated many times that he only spoke to the people outside his apostles in parables and then explained it to his apostles in private. This is not the only parable that mentions names, King David and satan are also mentioned in parables. I cannot remember the verses off the top of my head but if you really want them them you can e-mail me and I will search them out for you. It is church preachers that lie and tell you that this is not a parable. There is no burning hell, only the lake of fire which consumes the people not tortures them.

I'm sorry, but I don't follow. A parable is a story, not a real life experience. If you're asking why Jesus wasn't involved, it's because it's a story, and it probably didn't happen to him. Hope that cleared some up!

The Messiah's name was YAHOSHUA! He spoke in parables to teach those who didn't fully understand spiritual things, so they could gain some insight. Different parables taught different lessons, and so He used differing format's to approach them. I don't see why you have a problem with that.

Are you talking about the one involving a guy named Lazarus and another dude? well, technically, that one is not referred to as a parable. people call it one, but one school of thought is that that really happened. who knows for sure? hope this helped!

If he names actual people, then maybe that was not a parable, but a story about something that actually happened (are you talking about Lazarus and the rich man?).

Cos He wanted the parables to not only apply to the listeners but to others.
Guess what it worked
Two thousand years later and we still refer to people "as the one who fell on the stoney ground"

That's the only one where He felt it was necessary.
This is one of those questions that will drive us all crazy, but it isn't necessary for salvation. Anyone who will ask you that question is looking for an excuse not to believe.
