you will be admitted the only way you can be denied access to canada for your driving record is on the following

you have more then 2 dui and have done federal time or state time with more then 7 month in jail and have injured or killed a person

you have dangerous driving charge pending or have done time and involved injured person

you have hit and run charge or done time

or you have stolen car for resalling then canada immigration will refused you

No it is not true.

Canada only keeps criminals out. The biggest problem is a DUI in the US is a Felony. So the US government sees you as a criminal, and therefore if you have a DUI Canada may keep you out.

But if you have one too many speeding tickets or any other traffic violations wont matter.
