My fiance is about to finish up his training so that he can become an over-the-road truck driver, and when he starts his job he'll be gone for weeks at a time. Before now he's always had jobs in which he could be home every night, so this is a big change for us. How can we cope with having so much time apart? Are there any truck drivers' wives/girlfriends on here who are in similar situations?

The time apart will definitely make you both appreciate each other

It is going to be tough on both of you.
Just make sure the time you do get to spend together is positive, and loving. Some times distance works great in a relationship. Hope it works out for you!
