first, as any breeder will tell you the whelping box is the place to have mom all set up, but some moms do not like a whelping box and instinctively try to find a dirt dug hole or area similar (a nesting area for the mom to watch/controll her pups in). We had a mom that was like that, she had a nice clean inside kennel with a whelping box but at free will can go to the outside run. She preferred the hole she dug and had her pups there. Something dogs did for thousands of yrs before we domesticated them. Something wolfs and coyotes do today. A hole or a small cave type thing they dug. Moms know how to take care of the pups and themselves based on instinct, true that infection is something to watch and look for, have mom and pups checked at the vets the next day if possible, if she has her pups where she is, then after just bring them in and mom will follow for sure. For what ever the reasons she feels secure in her nested place. It is common to worry about things like this but nature does have a way!! If she wont come out then relax get as close as you can to her with out being in her way and enjoy the experience with her. Good luck with her and the pups

Ohh yes whelping boxes are nice clean little environments for birthing pups. But don't worry babe dogs know what to do. She has made her nest in the dirt and when the pups are born she will lick them all nice and clean, bite the cord off and then when they are all out will take them to another place.
You could be on hand as they are born. The dog will let you take the pup while others are coming let her lick first and bite the cord. then take the pup rock head away from you in an outward swinging motion to remove any mucus and dry with a towel and place it on her teat. if she rejects it just put it aside for now till all the pups are n]\born and then get her to follow you and the box of pups inside somewhere and then let her have the pups on the teats. This is important as the first feed contains things in the milk that gives the pups immunity and strength of survival

I had a whelping box but my dog decides she would not want the pups to be born there and went outside and dug a hole. No manner of coaxing would get her in. She had 11 pups ( a lot for a dalmation) we just did what I told you and all are healthy and well so good luck and happy days and nights!

Adam did... even as he screwed up and pay interest to his spiritually incompetent significant different Eve. He knew listening to devil over God may be undesirable... DUH! Eve idea devil had made some experience and ate the fruit. Adam went alongside with Eve via actual actuality.. good day she's his significant different. as immediately as they ate what God said not too... the international began to die spiritually conversing.... and diverse human beings began to trust what ever they needed in straight forward words as Eve did. Adam sinned and enable the non secular dogs out and they have were given been craping on each and each little element considering. Chris

You should try to move her befoer the puppies start coming! She really shouldnt give brith outside and definatly in the dirt, her and her puppies could get very sick and she could get infected!
