My Sheppard is in need to visset the doc now I think its about that time she is 3m old now. I was wondering what shots if any and about how much this first visset will cost. I was figureing about 25$ a shot 3 prevenitive shots $75 and the advantex is like $40 and the visset its seilf is like $30 about $150 is that rite? We live in central NY if that makes any diff. Also do you need your dog to go into heat one time before you fix them? I herd that somewear?

you are wonderful to be so concerned about your dog's health at such a young age. Your dog is very lucky to have you. I think $100.00 would more than cover a puppies' first visit to the vet.
Be sure to write down all of your questions before you go, the vet will be more than happy to spend as much time with you as you need to answer all of your questions.

Please don't let your dog go in to heat before spaying. There is no reason for it. Accidents happen quickly.
Your puppy will get her first set of puppy shots and wormed if she hasn't been yet. She is to young for a rabies shot. As long as she is totally healthy the first visit may be less.

no you do not let your dog go into heat ,,,, have her spayed at apporx. 6 months....... did you get your pup from a breeder??? if so,, they should have given you the paperwork on her first shots and worming..... if not,,,, the vet will give her her first set.. it is winter, so you do not need Advantix at the moment,, ( wait til spring) office visit is about 35, shots about 30 etc. your estimate is a little high,, but in the ballpark,

About $75.00 for the first inspection and injection. Nothing is ever cheap ate a vet's anything under $100 is called a bargain.

Do you have a petsmart around you ? they have animal clinics in their stores and they have puppy plans you pay one amount for down payment and then you pay like 25.00 a month for the rest of the plan and that includes neturing and spaying . i know we have saved alot of money doing it thisway
