Step one: find out if he has a girlfriend
Step two: do any of your friends know him well? (if not, just skip to 4)
Step three: tell them to talk to him about you, your friend should ask how he feels about you
Step four: try to catch his eye in the halls
step five: if a conversation does come up, look at his eyes, and try to flirt
step six: try to get to know him better
step seven: on the phone or in person (never online) ask him if he'll see a movie with you
not the best advice i've ever given, but it generally works, i just thought about what i'd want a girl to do. :) good luck.

Every girl in the world has been in your shoes. Personally, I would wait until high school to ask anyone out. Why? First of all, people change between Middle School and High School. Whether its for the better or worse, it still helps to wait. Secondly, you might find that in 2 years that Chris isnt the guy you want to be with. Thirdly, (is that a word? :D) there's alot more guys to choose from in High School, and you might find someone you'd rather be with. I would wait until High School and see if you still like him. If you still do and you guys know eachother well enough then by all means, go ahead ;)

How I remember those school day crushes. Well my advise to you is to make him notice you more, do little things like ask his friends or yours questions about him what he likes, what are his hobbies, the more you find out about him the more you'll know if he is worth your time. If he goes to the library make sure your there, if there are ways to be in the same area as him do that. after awhile he may notice you. I understand you don't want to just go up and ask him out, fear of rejection as we go through at that age. Pay attention to his character and ways, if you feel he's easy to talk to, start up a conversation with him, you never know. That's why it's important to find out as much about him as possible, so you don't feel awkward and have nothing interesting to talk about, specially due to the fact he's in a grade above you. dont ask him out. never ever ask a guy out, thats his job. all you have to do is make him like you enough so that he asks you out.
