First of all, the chocolate ice cream is a good move. Chocolate helps everything! Next, know that everything will be alright and then start doing what it takes to make them alright. Just because you were fired doesn't mean you were a bad employee. Good people get fired by dumba*ss employers all the time. Having said that, in order to learn something from this you will want to consider why they said they let you go. If you decide that it really was a legitimate reason, then you'll know what you will want to do differently in the future. On the OTHER hand, it may have been a job that you've outgrown, is too boring, is meaningless to you or whatever. If we don't move forward in our lives when we should, God sometimes moves us on in other ways, such as in the form of getting fired. Best wishes in your search!

You probably heard of making a good thing out of a bad situation.
Make this your opportunity to get a better job ( maybe one you actually enjoy more than the one you had)
Wipe the tears away and change your attitude-- thinking I am now going to get what I really want in a job.
Jobs won't jump out and get you-- you will have to start working on updating your resume and start contacting some old friends or people you know about getting a new job. ETC, ETC
I bet one year from now you will actually laugh about this bump in the road and will say it was the best thing that ever happened to you.

Hey, we've all lost jobs. I've walked off jobs cause I got pissed and went home and thought....okay, now what? It looks dismal right now. But believe me, and this is true. From all negativity, something positive will come. Take a day or 2 off, try to relax (as much as possible-it's hard to, I know). The get a fresh start Monday. Pull the classifieds out Sunday-(or whatever day that is the big day they appear in your local newspaper). Check out careerbuilder.com and talk to your friends. Let them know you're looking. Take what you can now, keep looking til you find what suits you. I'm sending best wishes out to you in the universe........you're gonna be okay. You're gonna probably come up with a better job than I have!!!! (I like chocolate ice cream too!) Let us all know how ya' do! Missy
