How to approach a cousin that's pissed off?

My cousin is pissed off at me.

Her father is dying(has about 8 weeks to live), and I want to contact her to console her, etc, and I am not sure how to do this.

Please help.

It would help to know how u pissed her off but anyway just say your sorry and u would like to be there for her as a shoulder to cry on.
