I would say... self control!
If you aren't ready... there is NOTHING that anyone should be able to say or do that would force you to be ready!
Overall - I think timing is everything, and if you even question whether or not you are prepared for an intimate relationship - you are NOT ready!

That's tough one...
I don't think that confessing to loving someone is power, but instead that it's bravery and trust. I don't think there's anything more risky than telling someone you love him, or her.
Having intercourse with someone is a different matter entirely. Do you mean plain, straight sex, or making love to someone? You need to know the difference. There's domination in sex, which is a kind of power in itself, but telling someone you want to have sex with them, when you're both ready to, that feels very much like another trust issue.
The only one that sounds slightly like power, is saying no. Though it's much more of a respect situation to me.
Having "power" in a relationship, concerning anything in it, is not what anyone should base their relationship with someone on.

If you are not ready than you are not ready. THAT hsould not be ab power thing but a self respect thing. You will know when you are ready so don't do it if you are not. telling someone you love them does not mean you have to do it. Just wait and if this person loves you they will understand. If they pressure you or sya they will leave you they do not love you and you are better off.

Dude, you gotta wait for the lady's desicion. If you pressure her, she's going to think that you have one motive to be with her. And that's low, dude. Respect your lady, dude. You gotta wait for your lady's ok, man. If you wait, she'll appreciate you. It will make a better man. You goota say, "Baby, when ever you're ready, I'll be ready." And when the day comes, use protection dude. Good Luck! Do the right thing. Do the gentleman thing!

I think that's probably different for every person. For me it would be way easier to tell someone that be the someone told. Saying no would definitely be harder.
