i know this sounds familiar but here we go
i really like this girl....she is totally amazing.
anyways, we get along great and always have something to say. over the break i asked her out and she said it would be great, but that she couldnt cuz she liked another guy who had just rejected her. she then said we should use this unique experience to bring us closer togeather and it has, to a point. anyhow i havent gotten over her, even though i heard her tell her friend she was waitng to see if the other guy falls for her. this week while we talked about my prom, i asked about the other guy. she said that it wasnt going anywhere and she was moving on.....i want to know if i have a shot, cuz well i still like her....alot

Ok! Here's what you do.
Stop trying to impress her. Stop worrying about it. As hard as it sounds, just relax around her and be yourself. Sure, smile at her and say hello. But don't let her know that you're dying to get with her.
Joke with her about her looks. If she's wearing anything risky something that doesn't look good, smile when you say it, but hit her with, "Wow, did you get dressed in the dark today? Power out at your house or something?" "Surely you looked in the mirror before you left the house?" A light insult will occasionally bring them around. They'll be like, who does this guy think he is? They'll like your confidence and be attracted to that.
Don't let her know that she drives you crazy. Women want what they can not have. It's thier nature. When they know they can have it, they want it less.
Eve should have never bit that dang apple. We would be able to understand the woman a little better.

well maybe...honestly....but..i've been in similar type situations, and to tell you the truth..the whole "use thi sunique experience to bring us closer" is a way for a girl to keep you as a back up..in case something doesnt workout with someone else..and that's just what she did. So you might have a chance now..But...honestly..i'd get over her and not give her that chance..even if she likes you now..because if she put you second place from the start, what's there to stop her from making you second place again later....not to mention in "using" that unique experience to make you guys get closer..she should've forgetten all about the other guy if she really liked you...do you really want to end up in a relationship where you feel like the girl "settled" for you...I say forget about her..and just be a friend..cus you're in the "friend zone"....I know it sucks..but it'll suck more the longer you let her string you along...I've been there, and done that..and learned the lesson more than once, and it sucked each time.

bottom line. u are obsessing over this one chick because u have absolutely nothin poppin off with any other chicks. that's the problem. who the hell is she to keep u on hold while she waits on the guy she REALLY wants? feel me? here's what u do. next time u guys are alone hangin out, lean over and kiss her. just kiss her and pull her into an embrace and see how she responds. if she's into it u might have a shot. if not stop wastin your time with a chick who feels for that other guy the way u feel about her. meanwhile your just lettin all the other potential chicks u could get with pass by because your on hold like a fool.

Yes I think you have a chance with her and that she is more or less telling you in her own way that she is no longer interested in that other guy. Now is when you ask her out and hurry up before she finds another person.

just ask her. and if she says no, dont feel bad or let it crush you. just move on and know that you will find someone else and that you will recover, but she wont. cause you sound like a really great guy, and she should be flattered that you are even thinking about her

Of course you have a shot, show her how much ypu like her, buy her a single red rose and just be straight up with her let her know your still iterested i her that way ad tell her how you feel, being honest ad straight up is the best way
