They have big noses to breath easier. The lips I think is because they need more protection for eating (???) or because of the heat. Heat expands so it could be why. If you look at newly born American-Africans they do not have as big a nose or lips as the ones living in Africa.
To whoever said Michel Jackson had a small nose: He is a total freak. If you look at pictures of him when he was a kid you'll notice he had a big nose. He had surgery done on himself. Giving Michael Jackson as an example is an insult to Africans.

If you want a real answer, its because of the hereditary locale of Africa. The climate caused for wider noses and lips were bigger so that they could beat box under the African sun... you're a loser. Read a book.
