Pit bull, not pitbull, pittbull.....
I am going to just assume you are talking about American Pit Bull Terriers (which are not recognized by the AKC).
Bloodlines have different traits and nose color has absolutely nothing to do with the dog. People think they have something special if they have a "red nosed pit." That is most likely not true because of how heavily people bred them, and paid no mind to the bloodlines. Its just a color.
There are a lot of great bloodlines around right now, IF you can find a reputable breeder.
Some of the better lines right now from game dogs are down from, of course Jeep, Yellow, Eli, Virgil... Really just depends on what traits you want. Keep in mind if you do want the best possible bloodline he wont be a short stocky dog. REAL American Pit Bull Terriers are rather lanky. They rarely get over 65lbs, which is still big, and anyone saying they have a full-blooded pit bull over that, they have a mixed breed.
Avoid Watchdog and Razors Edge dogs. They are mutts. Pit bulls bred to mastiffs (like so many others).
Good luck in your search!

by technique of 'pit bull' do you propose American Pit Bull Terrier? Or Am. artwork force? because they are 2 similar breeds, and may also be an same in basic terms diverse registries (ADBA/UKC vs AKC). also Staffordshire bull terriers are very similar. Argentine Dogo sounds like a huge white pit, and that i continuously mistake Presa Canario's for pit bulls! some smaller Cain Corso's actually have a pit seem. Many boxer mixes can seem as if a pit bull. and do not ignore American Bulldogs, American Banddoggs, and old English Bulldogs. All at the instantaneous are not AKC breeds, yet nevertheless have a starting to be recognition. I agree that some human beings imagine a Bull Mastiff is only a large pit. Pits looks determination a lot interior the breed plenty as well. so as that 2 dogs of an same breed with seem completely diverse. wish this helps

Private P, please educate yourself before you make ignorant comments about a breed you've probably never owned.
It concerns me that you used to have a dog, especially a breed like the APBT, and you have no idea what happened to her. It also concerns me that you want a pit with "bite". I hope for your sake and for the sake of the animal that you have no intention of fighting your dog.
That being said, the best place to start is the AKC, although American Pitbull Terriers are not recognized by them. If you're looking for a "shorter" pit, you may lean towards a Staffordshire Bull Terrier as they tend to be shorter in stature. Yahoo has some excellent groups involved in APBTs, Dogster.com is full of dog lovers of ALL breeds, and there are lots of bullies in need of homes on the Pitbull Rescue Central site.

Look on your local newspapers in the Classifieds section. They should say if they are the best pitbull bloodline. Or, you can try to find a litter at akc.org.
