My daughter always got sore at the shot site. And swollen and red. So she cried. I put a cool cloth on it, and gave her tylenol. Also, it seemed to help calm her by just rocking her. He should be 100% better by tomorrow(I know this isn't very comforting now.......it's horrible to watch your child in pain). If he isn't you may want to call your pediatrician.
Good luck sweetheart, and hang in there. You're gonna have a lot of days like this;)

when my baby got her first shots she cried all day. i found out it was a side effect of one of the shots. there is nothing you can do but hold him and try to soothe him. let your doctor know how long and intense the crying was because some kids can't take all shots.
with my child the shot that caused the crying was given by itself the next time and it helped. so keep a log and talk to doc.
good luck

Lots of cuddling and love.
I used to turn the lights down low, turn on some classical music (very soft), and then rock my daughter and talk to her softly. It worked every time for her. Still does at 18 months (she just had her shots today. . .).
Good luck!!

Just soothe him. He shouldnt cry for too long. If you gave him the tylenol, and he is still crying, maybe you should call your doctor.

Swaddle him, feed/nurse him, don't touch his legs. He might want to go to bed early tonight. Don't be alarmed if he gets a low fever in the next 24 hours also.

Just love and patience.
If he gets really sick or something you should talk to his Dr. just to make sure he hasn't had a particularly nasty reaction.
If that isn't the case, he'll feel better soon.
