I once read an article in a newspaper that said that we retain our identities in heaven, although we are changed in ways that we cannot possibly imagine now. The author used some interesting details from the New Testament to support his claim, and I believe he's right because I know that I will see my closest friend there, and if you can see your closest friend there and retain that relationship, then it stands to reason that you'll get to see the person you love most in Heaven. You'll be happy there, and I think that your love will still be there after death.
