Vaseline is a petroleum product. Since she ate a whole container I would call the E vet locally or poison control and find out what you need to do. The sooner you do that the better since there are some things they can give her to absorb whats in the stomach before it leaves the stomach and moves into the intestines. They may also want to give her something to make her vomit before hand. Make sure she did not swallow any of the plastic from the jar as well.

Your dog will be fine. Will most likely have very loose stools for a couple of days though. Vaseline is also a remedy for cats thet have fur balls caught in there throats. Once you suave the vaseline in their mouths it is easy for it to pass through to the other end!!

Unless she ate a lot, it shouldn't be a big deal. It may make her vomit or give her some loose stool, but it it wasn't a whole container she should be fine. You might try to give her a slice of bread in pieces to kind of help absorb or push it through.
Good Luck!

Nope, No problems, it's slippery and should pass right out. Watch her stool for a few days, though.

I would go to the store & buy a LOT of paper towels. She's gonna poop like there's no tomorrow.
Also - the person who said that she wouldn't have eaten it if it was bad for her is WRONG. Dogs will eat rat poison or antifreeze for goodness sake - both of which will kill them.

Never heard of animals licking Vaseline, but your dog will probably be fine. (I don't think your dog would have eaten it if it was *really* bad for him/her.
