Well at least you are thinking. This is a hoax, why am I so sure. I look at the scientists that are saying that it is and that they have nothing to gain for saying the truth. THese "scientists" that say mankind are the cause for this are getting grant money and have an agenda. There is a climatologist that is the head one for Oregan, and he is going to get fired because he says the climate is changing as part of a natrual progression for earth. According to the GOvenor of Oregan that doesn't line up with the way that he wants that state to function. This is ALL political. China produces more harmful emmisions from their country wide coal burning that would take 2 billion SUV's to duplicate, and I believe that currently there are only a few million in the world. And funny enough China is exempt from the Keuoto (sp?) Treaty. In the treaty if you want to polute more then you have to buy "Credits" from other countries to do so. It is all about shifting wealth. This is so sad that the serioulsy flawed science behind it. Anybody who believes in global warming is a lemming. THe LIberal Media is pushing forward Thier radical agenda whether there is sound facts or not. THere are more credible scientists who do not believe that global warming is caused my man. ANd when I say global warming I am saying that the earth has raised .6 degrees celcius in the past 125 years. This is all about the grant money and the tearing down of America. WAKE UP AMERICANS

Can global warming kill anyone in 40 or 400 years. I think not. A rise of 2-3 degrees over the next 50 years will not mean much. When I got up this morning the temp. was 14, during the day it went all the way up to 19. I am still alive and well. Can we stop global warming? Only if we can find some way to turn down the sun, or are we also responsible because of greenhouse gases that the ice caps on Mars are melting? Next time you get into a discussion with one of those gloom and doom enviro-nuts ask them about that.

No!!!! Stop worrying about global warming!! Major, long lasting effects will probably occur within the next 200-1500 years.
Twenty years ago they were shouting global warming and all the ill-effects that will happen within 15 years. Hello!! I'm still waiting.
I'm sitting here in Chicago. It's &*^$##@ 5 below zero!! Where's the warming?

Actually, I am more worried about that HUGE icicle falling off my roof and hitting me on the head.... But seriously, I think it will depend on where you live. If you are a subsistence hunter in the Arctic circle, you are already experiencing difficulty reaching those schools of fish. If you farm near the equator, 40 years might not make a huge difference. Right on a shoreline? Could experience flooding. Also when you say "kill us in 40 years" do you mean ALL humans...NO. Not even a pandemic disease or meteoroid would achieve this. Someone, somewhere would survive. Life is persistent!

we will be lucky if we get that far
the end of the world or the many ends are all predicted to happen between 2012 and 2020
and with a global nuclear war lurking in the wings ,global warming is not the most dangerous concept to fear.

Kill us? No way. Make our life miserable and kill some of those other people? Way.
It won't be a Hollywood style disaster. Gradually coastal areas will flood and agriculture will be damaged. But it will be very bad. Rich countries will cope, but it will take huge amounts of money. In poor countries many people will die of starvation, but not all of them.
Most scientists say, in 20-50 years. But we need to start right now to fix it, fixing it will take even longer than that.
