I have a Nikon D50.

There is this small fleck of dirt that I see when I'm looking through the viewfinder, but it does not show up in the photos. I checked, and it's not on the sensor. I have cleaned the mirror, and but it's still there. It is not a huge thing, because like I said, it's not in the pictures. But it's so bloody annoying, I just want to scream.

How do I get rid of that little bugger?!

If you can see it in viewfinder and not in the photo probably the dirt is between the mirror and the viewfinder. I would recommend you to check the mirror first because it's more likely for dust to stick there.

It's very easy to clean the mirror. Just open the lens and blow the mirror with blower (make sure to turn off the camera as the CCD electric current will attract dust). don't use your mouth as you might drop a spit or two. Blower cost around $10 each.

Try cleaning the lens above the mirror.

If it's a removable target screen, check behind it too.
