My "child" is 31 years old. He and his wife just had their first child Jan. 18. After the baby was delivered, we were hugging and crying and he said "Thanks for having me so I could have her". It was the nicest thing any of my kids has ever said to me.

I had been trying to get my 3-year-old to pick up his toys for at least an hour. I finally resorted to threats. I told him that he'd better hurry up and put away his toys, or he'd be in big trouble.

He replied, "I can't, Mommy. My hurry is broken!"

My daughter, at the tender age of 3 was looking at me very intensely one day, staring directly in to my eyes. I asked her, what are you doing Liss?, and she said "do you see 'em mommy"?, and I said what?, and she said "the LOVE LIGHTS in my eyes", "they're shining because I love you". I'll never forget that day, it was one of my best ever!
