18.
it stings, like getting a shot, when the needle goes through but after that you don't feel anything.

It does hurt but just for a second. I am 43 years old. I had my first ear piercing at age 12. Back then, they didn't have the "gun" to shoot the earring in. They first pierced the ear with a piercing gun (ouch) and then they put the earring in (second ouch). I had my second ear piercing when I was in my 20s. Then I had the brilliant idea to add a third set of holes in my ears when I was around 26 years old but decided to go in the bathroom and do it myself!!! Oh, what a mistake. I literally almost fainted because the pin got stuck in my earlobe, and the pain was so awful. If you're going to get your ears pierced, find out where other people have gone to have it done and make sure it is a reputable, clean facility. Take someone with you for moral support! =)

Naturally, you will feel a bit of discomfort. The part of the ear that's being pierced (usually the lobule) is not extremely vascular so don't worry about bleeding and your also limited on any major nerves in that area which will minimize you pain. In fact your lobule is mainly fatty tissue. Like any piercing the brunt of the pain will be felt upon the initial stick. Just tough it out and the next concern of your is to keep the area as clean as much as possible; you want to minimize your possibility of infection

I've never had my ears pierced but I'm a tattoo and body piercing artist so I can tell you with the greatest confidence that, any time you stick needle or a stud ear ring through your skin, it's going to hurt but it just won't hurt that much and it's very quick so it won't hurt long after but it may throb for a day or two after getting them pierced.

Depends on how much pain you can handle. I was about 12 months [or one year old] when I first got my ears pierced. I got my cartilage pierced and I was petrified. BUT I wanted it pierced and I begged with my mom to let me get it done. It didn't hurt to much a lot less than I expected but it burns as in your ear gets really hot. At least mine did. My experience was relatively painless. So I really don't think you have much to worry about.

you barely feel it. it's kind of like a pinch and it's really fast. it hurts a little afterwards but make sure to use the chemical stuff they give you and spin the earrings a few times a day to keep the skin away from the post. i used gold starters and i have had my ears pierced five different times. i only use one set of holes now but i have four sets and one lone one that i closed in my cartilage.

I got mine in the fourth grade, i remember being very nervous it only hurts for a couple of minutes. The best thing to do is stay clam and don't think of it as a big deal, the more you make a big deal out of it, it'll tend to be more painful.
