I was once given a fruit by an Iranian lady described as a ' sweet lemon '. I have never seen them in the Uk and another Iranian I have met has never heard of them. They are delicious! Can anyone tell me where to get them? Have they another name?

Meyer lemons are a cross between a regular lemon and either an orange or a mandarin. Meyer lemons originated in China and are perfect for a soufflé or lemon tart and, because it’s sweeter than a regular lemon, makes good lemonade requiring less sugar.

well, i'm iranian and yes, they exist and i have tasted them and yes, they are sweet. im not sure what they are called in english tho, maybe the meyer lemon is right. but here is what i do know. once you cut the lemon open and the air gets to it, you have about a couple of minutes to eat it or its taste becomes bitter and almost uneatable. so im not sure if you can actually make lemonade with them. and i have no idea where you can find them in england. if you get anymore info on them, let me know too. thanks
