You'll have to determine the condition and pricing of the gun, and what the holster and ammo are worth to be sure if you're getting a good deal, a decent deal, or a great deal. Good luck! I had a stainless .41 for quite a few years and it was a great gun.
100% pricing means new in the box, unfired. Any gun that has been fired is worth 98% or less depending on the wear.

Ruger makes excellent guns. A Blackhawk .44 Mag with holster and 4 boxes of shells is worth the price if the gun is in excellent shape or even slightly less as long as it's not a clunker. Ruger don't make clunkers, people do.
If it would happen to be an old model with screws on the side instead of pins, then YES, definitely!!

the Ruger .44 Blackhawk is an excellent revolver. It is strong, accurate and reliable. $450 for gun, holster and 4 boxes of ammo is a good deal. If I were you i would grab it.

Four fifty round boxes of .44 Mag ammo? That's nearly a hundred dollars. That means the Blackhawk itself is selling for 350 w/holster. The holster is probably at least 20 bucks. And Ruger does make a good gun.
If you like the gun and it appears solid to you, then sure, go for it.
Best,

44 mags are a good caliper. Check the cyl and see if there is any play in it. Wiggle the barrel and see if its loose or has any play in it? The ammo is worth $16 -$20 a box . Is the pistol blued or stianless? Check with a gun store on the price of a new one as all you could be getting is a pistol (used)with 4 boxes of bullets. Is the Ammo reloads or new and what brand are they?

Since I cannot see the gun, etc. I cannot advise you, but I would find an expert, an ex-serviceman, certified peace officer, etc. to take with me to look at it and see what they thought. I have several people like this in my family that I trust. My husband was in the Marines and would not even have a hand gun anywhere near our house while we had children living with us. That is how dangerous he knew hand guns were. As a woman, I think that the extremely small and/or large hand guns can be equally dangerous to control.

Rugers are good guns. I just think they are cumbersome to load.
