I know it sounds stupid. I have long hair, I wnat to keep it long but get some cut off. Is there anyway ( besides a trim) that I can do this?

get it layered. if you trim like an inch it will grow back in about a month anyways

Long layers are very sexy and will give your hair a little more bounce and volume. You could also cut long bangs to get more variety out of your hairstyles.

you'll have to cut it....get a cool fringe. You can leave the length while modernizing your look.
