My college cancelled all classes because of 3cm of snow. Is there anywhere else so pathetic?

The roads were drivable and the buses were running. What is the experience of you all in the US, other UK towns than London, and the rest of the world? Does anyone else scurry so wimpishly at the first flurry of bad weather?

We have a bunch of wimps governing the country in the UK and it may be time to get rid of them. I am at fault as I voted them in
