Check at your local community center for a music and movement class. My daughter just turned 2 and we've been going since she was 18 months. She loves it!
Have fun

My daughters started dancing at 3. All of the dance studios around here require the child be potty trained and at least 2. The lowest levels they have start at that age. But, I know the studio that my daughter goes too has taken children younger if they think the child can do it. They would also need to be able to take directions from the teacher. Your child should be good at walking. Tap shoes are very slippery and if your child doesn't walk very good the chances of slipping are very good (They don't normally split ballet and tap until after kindergarten).
With all that being said, if you can find a studio that will take you daughter you should start her as soon as they will let them. My daughters been doing it for two years and loves it. Even if you can't get her in now, I would buy her clothes and shoes to dance in at home. Which you should do anyways. At least the clothes, my daughter loves to dance at home, but we don't let her wear her normal clothes they cost way too much. When looking for a studio, try a couple out before you sign up with one. Most studios will let you child dance one time to see if they like it or not. If your daughter is already dancing around the house, she'll probably like it. You want to make sure that both you and her like the teacher, and it helps if she likes the other children in class with her. We tried one and the kids were in a different room, so you couldn't watch, but you could her the teacher yelling if a child didn't do what she wanted. The one my daughter goes to has a window so we can watch her dance. Which is really nice, especially at that age, they do some pretty funny things sometimes and it really entertaining to watch them.

Shes only 2 so I say just let her dance all day around the house and save your money. Maybe get some other 2 year olds over to dance and charge thair parents for "dance classes."
Then Im a guy so what do I know.

The town where I live offers a class for kids starting at 2. I don't know if most kids have the attention span to learn any younger than that. If she is really well behaved you might be able to talk to the teacher at your local studio and ask that she be put in behavior permitting. That really is wonderful that she is learning to express herself so early.

No i don't think so. If you are able to get your daughter into dance classes at her age i say go for it! That sounds like fun for the both of you.

Dance classes are usually based on age, so I would say that if there are dance classes for kids under 2, then put her in one! If there aren't, then wait!

I would pick something low-key, like a toddler creative movement class or music class. I think there are even relaxed ballet classes for this age, where they dress up in tutus and mess around.

you could enroll in some mother daughter classes, those are really cute and a great way to bond with your daughter!
They're fairly cheap as well, and they also do other classes that are good for bonding!
Just ask some local day cares :)

I think it's still a little early for lessons. Maybe five or six years old will be better. She'll be more coordinated and able to understand and accomplish the things she will need to do with her body.

Nah- there's probably a dance company or instructor around that caters to extra-tiny dancers with short attention spans to start off with.
